Stitch by Stitch is a small, home-based business that offers crocheted and machine knitted products in addition to basic sewing and mending services.

Tanya is the owner of Stitch by Stitch and is a Smithers local who has spent the last 14 years practicing the art of crochet. After more than a decade of crafting everything from complex garments to cozy home essentials, she is returning to the basics to help a new generation of makers get started.

Tanya understands that the first few rows are often the hardest, which is why she’s designed this workshop to be a fun, low-pressure environment. Her goal is to take the mystery out of the hook and yarn, guiding you through the creation of a practical cotton dishcloth.

Participants will learn how to do beginner level crochet skills and will learn how to make their own cotton dishcloth. Each person will go home with a beginner crochet kit and pattern with extra yarn to make more dish cloths at home.

Snacks and refreshments will be provided.
